Dressmaker
A guide to Dressmaker, the cozy sewing sim by Cozy Lives: how to complete a commission from start to finish, fabrics and style tags, the ten clients and the pieces each one unlocks, money, tips and achievements.
Every part of the dress is yours
In Dressmaker you choose the fabric, lay out and cut the patterns, sew the pieces on a sewing machine and decorate the dress with buttons, bows, appliqué and lace trims. Steam sums it up as a cozy sim where you sew garments to satisfy (or sabotage) the townsfolk.
You take commissions from ten clients, each with her own taste and story. Handing in a dress earns reputation and coin; you can also design your own dresses and sell them ready-made in your shop (off-rack). And yes, you can pet the kitty.
According to the team, the story commissions take around 35 hours, with over 150 dress pieces, over 450 fabrics and over 350 accessories, all made in-house. There are no microtransactions.
