Wuthering Waves

🧭 Getting started

Start right

Your first hours

  1. Follow the main quest. Convene (the gacha) unlocks in the quest "First Resonance", in Act I in Huanglong, which you reach at Union Level 4. The tutorial gives you Baizhi.
  2. Use the Novice Convene first ("Utterance of Marvels"): 50 pulls at a 20% discount (40 Lustrous Tides instead of 50) with a guaranteed 5β˜…. Only in batches of 10.
  3. Then the Beginner's Choice Convene: pick one of the standard 5β˜… (Verina, Encore, Calcharo, Lingyang or Jianxin) with a guaranteed 5β˜… within 80 pulls. It closes once you get the 5β˜….
  4. Explore. Chests, Resonance Beacons, Resonance Nexuses, side quests and first-time boss kills give Union EXP and Astrite.
  5. Do the daily Guidebook tasks (Activity) and spend your Waveplates every day. See the Daily routine page.
  6. Collect Echoes early. Each new Echo gives Data Bank EXP, which raises the drop rate and rarity of Echoes.
Progression

How you get stronger

πŸ“ˆ

Union Level

Your account level (up to 80). Every 10 levels raises your SOL3 Phase; some phases need an ascension quest. Union Level caps how far you can ascend Resonators and gates parts of the story.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘

Resonators

Level 1 to 90, with ascensions every 10 levels from 20 (materials from Boss Challenges and the world). Fortes level up with Forgery, Weekly Challenge and enemy materials. Duplicates give Wavebands for the Resonance Chain (6 nodes).

πŸŽ’

Gear

One weapon of the Resonator's type (level 1 to 90, Rank 1 to 5 with duplicates) and up to 5 Echoes, within the COST limit. See the Echoes and Weapons pages.

Tips

01

Enemies come back every day

Overworld enemies respawn daily, so you can farm Echoes every day without spending Waveplates.

02

Co-op at Union Level 30

According to Prydwen, co-op unlocks at Union Level 30. Each world has its own enemy respawns and loot is personal.

03

Duplicate Echoes do not count for Sonatas

Two Echoes with the same name only count once for the set bonus, even if one of them is a Phantom.

04

Do not mix up the Tides

Radiant Tide is for the featured Resonator banner, Forging Tide for the featured weapon banner and Lustrous Tide for the standard and beginner banners.
