🧑‍🔧 Survivors

Your settlement

All survivors

First you rescue the survivor where they are; then you call them to your base with the Summoning Staff. Craftspeople unlock recipes and stations; assistants craft the same as their main craftsperson (a second station, for another base); villagers are decorative and some give quests. Locations according to the wiki (pre-1.0).

Upgrading gear

Who upgrades what

01

Runes

Weapons, armor, shields, wards, rings, pickaxes and axes are upgraded with runes. Legendary items need legendary runes (in 1.0, one upgrade step later than before).

02

One craftsperson per class

The Blacksmith upgrades warrior gear, the Hunter upgrades ranger gear and the Alchemist upgrades mage gear. In 1.0 these three also upgrade Eternal spells and arrows.

03

Roaming distance

In 1.0 you choose, before placing a survivor, how far they can roam in your base. The minimum is now 2 meters.

04

Gold coins

In 1.0 gold coins appear in chests all over Embervale. Some survivors ask for them in exchange for items, mostly cosmetics.
